A Collaborative Giveaway from Courtney Specht | Stag & Bird Curated Photo Experiences + Lindsey Chevalier | Fox Fire Tattoos at Golden Stag Tattoo

Some moments in life pass quickly. A proposal, a promise, the realization that you’ve found the person you’re going to build something forever with. Most couples celebrate that chapter with a handful of engagement photos done the way they think they're supposed to do it and a celebratory dinner.

But some stories deserve more than that, in fact, most do. But some... some deserve to be marked and celebrated - permanently.

Marked & Meant To Be was born out of a simple conversation between two artists - during dozens of hours of collaboration - who believe that the moments shaping your life deserve to live somewhere lasting. Photography captures a moment in time, a visual record of connection, personality, and energy between two people. Tattooing takes something meaningful and carries it forward permanently, turning a symbol or idea into something you literally carry with you.

We started asking ourselves what would happen if those two mediums met in the same experience. What if a couple could celebrate their engagement not just with photos, but with something intentional, permanent, and collaborative? That question turned into this.

Marked & Meant To Be is a curated art experience for one engaged couple. The selected couple will receive a story-driven engagement session with Stag & Bird Curated Photo Experiences, known for bold, cinematic imagery that leans into personality, connection, and movement rather than stiff poses or cookie-cutter templates. Alongside the session, the couple will also receive coordinating tattoos created by tattoo artist Lindsey Chevalier of Fox Fire Tattoos at Golden Stag Tattoo, designed through a thoughtful consultation and executed with the same level of care and artistry.

Together, the experience becomes something bigger than a giveaway. It becomes a collaboration between artists and a couple willing to trust the creative process. This isn’t a random drawing and it isn’t a quick promotion designed to chase likes. Photography and tattooing are both artist-led disciplines, and the couple selected will be chosen intentionally based on story, personality, and alignment with the creative vision behind the experience. We’re looking for people who understand that meaningful art comes from collaboration, trust, and a willingness to create something together.

Both of our businesses are built around the same core belief: art should mean something. Photography should capture the real energy between two people, not just what they look like standing next to each other, and tattoo art should carry intention, symbolism, and permanence.

When those philosophies collided, this idea felt like a natural extension of the work we already do.

This experience is meant for couples who are comfortable trusting artists, who appreciate creativity and personal expression, and who feel excited about the idea of marking this chapter of their relationship in a way that’s both visual and permanent. It’s for couples who understand that tattoos are meaningful, that photographs can hold emotion long after a moment has passed, and that sometimes the most interesting things come from stepping slightly outside the traditional path.

The couple selected for Marked & Meant To Be will walk away with a bold engagement session that reflects who they really are, a gallery of imagery documenting this chapter of their relationship, and coordinating tattoos designed to represent something meaningful between them. It’s not just about receiving photos or tattoos. It’s about participating in a creative experience that celebrates connection in a way that’s thoughtful, collaborative, and lasting.

If that idea resonates with you, we’d love to hear your story. Applications are open now, and one couple will be selected based on their relationship, their intention behind the tattoo concept, and their alignment with the creative vision behind this project.

We will do our best to follow up with each applicant couple after submissions are reviewed. Depending on your responses, we may reach out with a few additional questions before making a final selection. The chosen couple will be notified via email by March 23rd, and the announcement will also be shared on social media.

Thank you for taking the time to apply and for trusting us enough to share a piece of your story. We expect to read some incredible applications, and it genuinely means a lot that you would even consider creating something like this with us. Even if you’re not selected for Marked + Meant To Be, we hope our paths cross in the future and that we’ll have the chance to create something meaningful together.

All our gratitude,
