Weddings don’t have to follow dusty rulebooks or keep grandma’s ghost happy. They can be whatever the hell you want them to be—loud, quiet, colorful, moody, or in this case, hazy in the best way. That’s the heartbeat behind High Tea, Higher Vibes, a 420-inspired styled shoot we brought to life at Flutter Farms, where cannabis and celebration met in a way that felt intentional, elegant, and just rebellious enough.
Breaking the Mold
Cannabis at weddings has too often been treated like a gimmick. A weed leaf slapped on décor, a smoke sesh hidden behind the barn. That wasn’t the story we wanted to tell.
High Tea wasn’t about kitsch. It was about showing how cannabis can live in wedding culture the same way champagne or a craft cocktail hour does: elevated, luxurious, and seamlessly woven into the design.
Flutter Farms gave us the perfect backdrop. Wildflowers and wide-open skies set the stage, while Fluttered AF created arrangements that blurred the line between ethereal garden and untamed fantasy. Jewel tones, texture-rich blooms, and handpicked greenery made the whole scene drip with drama and romance.
The Vibe
Think Victorian garden meets modern stoner chic.
Hand-rolled joints took the place of escort cards, styled in vintage trays from Creating Memories + More. Smoky glass bongs (thanks ReLeaf Dispensary)and crystal ashtrays sat as if they were always meant to be centerpieces. A cake by Cat Mangan tied everything together—layered, decadent, with edible floral accents and subtle nods to green without tipping into tacky yet keeping the whimsy.
Bridal beauty came courtesy of Glam + Glow by Kalsi Jo, who kept our models glowing, modern, and fierce—perfectly at ease between moody portraits and giggling smoke breaks. Coki Bijoux lent their sparkle, layering fine details that played against bold floral and smoke-filled air.
Our models (shout out to Johnathan and Trinity) brought it to life with laughter, intimacy, and the kind of connection you can’t fake. Every inhale, every exhale, every grin felt cinematic.
Big shout out to Amanda from Stairway Cannabis in Blue Springs, MO - she made sure we were stocked officially with the real stuff. Full comitment over here.
Why It Matters
Cannabis is culture. For some couples, it’s also part of their love story. Why shouldn’t it be part of their wedding day?
High Tea, Higher Vibes wasn’t about shock value—it was about showing couples they can choose vendors who get it. Who won’t flinch at rolling papers. Who will design something breathtaking around their lifestyle. This shoot was proof: you can embrace cannabis without losing an ounce of artistry, luxury, or romance.
Your wedding doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. It can be strange, bold, cinematic, and unapologetically you.
